My Favorite Cats

Here are some of my favorite cats (all three of them are mine). The black one is named

Blackie(she is VERY skittish). The striped one is Katie. The orange one is Mystery-- she is the one that someone smashed in the car door (ask my mom about that). :-) I have raised Katie from a young cat . She has had 4 litters of kittens-- 2 litters died. One of her litters has both Mystery's and Blackie's mothers in it. Angel is Mystery's mother and I gave Angel to Caden. Blackie's mother I had to give away in order to keep Blackie. (Dad's rules)

My Baseball Quilt!

We went out to lunch with Kathy, and her friend Robin. Kathy is a friend that we met doing craft shows with mom. We were going to be in town getting our haircuts, and Caden e-mailed her and told her we were getting our haircuts at 11:00 and then wanted to meet her for lunch. Kathy wrote back and said that was funny because she was going for a haircut, too, at 10:30. What we all didn't know is that the same person at the same place cut her hair and ours and has for a long time! She wasn't there when we got there, but Michael, who cuts are hair said that Kathy started talking about us, and she knew right away who Kathy was talking about! Michael had even told her how much we loved the fruit snacks she gives us, so Kathy went and got each of us a whole box of fruit snacks and brought them to lunch. We went to eat at Schlotsky's, and to my surprise, she gave me a baseball quilt that she made because she already had given a football quilt at a craft show.

What ? Wednesdays

This week, we did a science experiment about how to put out a fire with baking soda and vinegar. We lit a candle in a bowl and put baking soda around it and then put vinegar on the baking soda. This creates carbon dioxcide and it cut off the oxygen supply.

Homeschool Bowling!

When we went to sign up for homeschool classes, my mom was registering for her class so she had to stay the whole time. While she was doing that, we got to bowl with the other homeschoolers. I won two of three games, and it was fun!

Another Deer

Last night I killed another deer. This one was a little button buck (a 1 year old buck). It fell over the second I shot it. It was great.

NEW JOB!

Ms. Sharon, my horseriding teacher, invited us to an old-fashioned wassail party at her house. While I was there, she offered me a job! Every three weeks I will go and clean out the stalls,

pick up trash, put in new hay, and groom the horses.

My first time was on Saturday, and I worked for about 1 1/2 hours and she paid me $25! It was great! What she doesn't know is that I had so much fun being with the horses that I would have worked for free! I did slip once when I was cleaning the stalls and mom didn't think I smelled very good when she picked me up! HA

Trip to York

The day after Christmas we went to see my great grandparents in York. The trip didn't seem that long on the way there and I slept on the way home. When we got there, we ate lunch. She had made yummy potato soup. Then, we went to Blue Valley, and I got some clothes and a pair of nice boots that were almost new. (everything costs 50 cents or 1 dollar). Then, we went back and played cards. It was fun. I like to be there.
