Horse Jumping

Today, at horseriding lessons, I did a little bit of jumping. It was scary at first, and I had been scared about it since my teacher first told me awhile ago that we would do it. I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be. It was kind of fun!

Camp

Last week I went to camp and had a great time! Here are some of the highlights:

1. I became an intermediate instead of a junior. I missed some of my junior friends, but it was OK
2. The food was very good! My Aunt Stephanie was in charge of the kitchen. My favorite thing was the peach cobbler.
3. Favorite time at camp: The prayer walk
4. Favorite friend: Madison
5. New friend: TJ
6. Funniest moment: I was running, tripped on a cable, and fell down!
7. What I learned: How God is revealed to us
I took these pictures on a disposable camera. They are pictures of when Caden came to visit, Madison, my friend, Austin, and my cousin, Jake.

Presents at Church

Today, at church, I got a small quilt from Carolyn Bahler. She made one for everyone who was going to camp. There were over 15 of them that she had been working on! I picked out a blue one. Then, Gary gave me the bridle he used on his horse. Today was his last day before he leaves for Arizona on Tuesday.

Dream Job Part II

Today I got to stay with my horse riding teacher after lessons so that I could help her take the horses and dog to the vet. We sang Christian music and ate lunch. She gave me a CD of her recorded music and I was surprised to find out that she is a singer who lived in Nashville. You can read about her at: http://www.sharonteahbryant.com/ Then, we got the horses ready for the vet and went to the vet. [see above] I had fun. The vet, Chris, let me listen to Sunny's heartbeat. [see above] I found out that the vet is the son of one of the UPS drivers that Dad worked with many years. I have thought that I want to be a vet; but now I am not sure because it is a lot of work!

Last night we had a going-away party for Gary. Gary is from Arizona and is moving back there. He has cancer and we have been praying for him. He loves horses, just like I do. We talk a lot about horses and his adventures. I am going to miss him. Our party was a Western theme as you can see. We had so much fun! The pictures are of: Carolyn Bahler, TW and Shirley Osborn, Mike Spencer, Caden and I, and Gary opening our card.

Frog-Gigging!

Last night my dad and I went frog gigging at our neighbor's pond. We got 7 of them and we only went 25 feet! We went in the dark and blinded them with a flashlight. It was fun! We are going to eat them for supper.
