Upward basketball

This year I am playing Upward Bound basketball for my first time. We really like this league. We learn a Bible verse each week and work on fundamental skills and sportsmanship. Our second game was on Sat. Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Vern came to watch. I have played the Savannah league for 4 years and have done the Savannah basketball camp for three years. It is very fun to play basketball.

Johnnycakes

Last night we had Johnnycakes for supper. We had read about them in a Civil War book of how that was the only thing they ate on a regular basis. They look like pancakes but they taste like corn bread. We also had fried turkey that I shot last spring and green beans. It was good.

Mu-Shim-Do

This Spring I am taking group home school classes. We have done it before. We just have not done it for a while. One of the classes I am taking is mu-shim-do (it is a type of karate). My brother and I are both taking the class. We get outfits (my mom thinks they are CUTE and I think she is crazy). It is very fun and I really like it. I am also taking Intro To Theater and a Spanish class that my mom is teaching-- so she made us be in it :-(

Mrs.DeLapp and the MS Walk

This is Mrs. DeLapp, my music teacher from 1st-5th grade when I went in for my extra classes at Minnie Cline. This picture is from my third grade "RATS" program. Mrs. DeLapp is a good music teacher and is very funny.

I found out that she has MS, and so now I am walking for her! :-) I invited her to join our team, and she said she might! Mom decided that if she was going to help me train anyway, she would just walk so that Patti, who helps in my dad's office, wouldn't have to walk alone. We have others who have joined us, too. If you want to walk with us or donate to MS, here is the link:http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Walk/KSGWalkEvents?px=6086904&pg=personal&fr_id=10260
